When Should You Upgrade Your Fuse Board?

There are several reasons why you may want to consider a fuse board upgrade, particularly if your existing board is old or provides limited protection.

An upgrade may be appropriate where there is no RCD protection, the fuse board is outdated, circuits frequently trip, there are signs of damage or deterioration, additional circuits are being installed, or you’re carrying out a property extension or refurbishment.

A fuse board upgrade may also be worth considering when installing high-demand equipment such as an EV charger, air conditioning system or induction hob, where the existing electrical installation needs to be assessed for suitability.
